Our mission is to make a really good cup of coffee easy to have at home. Buy fairly from the farms and co-ops we know, brew in small batches and pack it in tins you can recycle.

Our Story & Mission
How it all began
How it all began
Two friends on the coast loved the coffee they drank at their favorite cafes and could not get close to it at home. Machines were fussy, pods were wasteful and the bag in the cupboard always went stale. They wanted something simple.
Brewing in a small kitchen
Brewing in a small kitchen
They started brewing small batches in a borrowed kitchen, turning each one into a rich concentrate that keeps its flavor. A spoonful in hot water, milk or over ice tasted like the cafe cup they were chasing, with no machine and no waiting.
Tidewater was born
Tidewater was born
The first tins went to friends and neighbors, then to the whole harbor. Today we are still a small roastery by the sea. We roast and brew in small batches, seal each one in a recyclable aluminum tin and ship it out to your door.

Responsible and Thoughtful Sourcing

Coffee can only be as good as the beans it starts with, so we spent our first year visiting farms and co-ops and tasting what they grow, until we found the ones we wanted to work with...

Therefore...

We buy directly from the farms and co-ops we know by name. That means no middlemen, and a fair price that goes to the growers and their teams. We keep buying from the same places year after year, so they can plan ahead and we can keep the flavor you love.
